Ada has been handcrafting as a hobby since she can remember. Even her grandmother and her mother sewed, embroidered and knitted. When she retired from her work as a nurse after many years she began to handcraft vigorously.
In addition to the works shown here, ada embroiders, knits and adorns clothing. She believes in the importance of the uniqueness of clothing and design. She doesn't flow with the conventional, she's very fond of good taste and creativity, and tries to implement it in her works.

Exhibitions and Achievements
Ada has participated in two solo exhibitions at the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens and at YMCA. She has also participated in several handicrafts and embroidery group exhibitions and some of her works adorn the Prime Minister's residence in Jerusalem.
Study
Ada learned ethnic embroidery with Miriam Lehman Yemini, and Susanny embroidery with the late Megina Shelly-Ann. She studied sewing with Ilana Singer and also at Yael Institute, and patchwork with Marganita Klausner. These methods allow her to break through where her imagination leads her.
Materials
Any embroidery or an interesting piece of fabric can be used as part of the work. Ada likes to wander the markets and find rare handmade embroideries, and other special fabrics. She collects high quality materials from different places around the world, such as matching fabrics and ribbons from the Far East, fabrics from Canada, India, Damascus, and more. She buys all the supplies and combines them in her works
Bedouin Embroidery
The Bedouin Embroidery is embroidered by Arab women in villages in the northern Negev and Jerusalem area, using their traditional embroidery methods.
Damascus fabric
Damascus fabrics come from Syria to Jerusalem's Old City. These fabrics being woven by the traditional method, as they always have been spun. They are so beautifully stunning. Ada combines these special and expensive fabrics in her works, like fabrics that are used in priesthood clothing, for example.
Cotton fabrics
Ada also uses cotton fabrics that are suitable for patch work. The fabrics are imported from the United States, Japan, Spain and other places.
Ribbons
The ribbons are manufactured in India, and are carefully selected and imported to Israel. They have a special texture and colors.
Combination of materials
Ada incorporates materials spontaneously like in a puzzle, while searching for matching color harmonies. This is an ongoing process of trial and error that sometimes creates surprising combinations. You can not know in advance what the final product would look like.
All work is done with the most care and lots of imagination and love. Each creation is unique and one of a kind.
